Portal Files — Browsing All Uploaded Files Across Portals

1 min read

The Portal Files screen gives admins a single place to find, filter, and download any file uploaded to any portal — without having to open each portal individually.

Accessing Portal Files #

In your WordPress admin, go to ClientPress → Portal Files.

What the Screen Shows #

The table lists every file uploaded across all portals, with the following columns:

  • Name — File name (or link display name for linked files)
  • Portal — The portal the file belongs to. Hubs are shown as Parent › Hub
  • Uploaded By — The WordPress user who added the file
  • Date — Upload date
  • Size — File size (blank for linked files)
  • Type — File extension or “Link” for external URLs
  • Actions — Download (uploaded files) or Visit (linked files)

The table is paginated at 30 files per page.

Filtering and Searching #

  • Filter by portal — Use the portal dropdown to show files from a single portal or hub only.
  • Search — Enter text to search by filename or portal name. The search updates the table immediately.

Both filters can be combined.

Downloading Files #

Click Download next to any uploaded file. The download is served through the same secure endpoint used inside the portal — access is verified before the file is sent.

For linked files, click Visit to open the external URL in a new tab.

Notes #

  • This screen is visible to admins only.
  • Files are not deleted from this screen. To delete a file, open the portal it belongs to and remove it from the Files tab.
  • The file count and list reflect the current state of the database — if a file was deleted from the portal, it will no longer appear here.
