Frequently Asked Questions for Agencies

One site license covers one WordPress installation. If you run your agency’s main site at youragency.com and a separate WordPress install for a client project, those are two sites and count as two licenses.

No. We have identified common staging URLs that our license check will ignore. If you run into an issue with your license key on a staging site, please contact us.

Every plan — Personal, Freelancer, and Agency — includes every feature ClientPress offers. There are no features locked behind a higher tier. The only difference between plans is the number of WordPress sites you can activate your license on.

Unlimited. There is no cap on the number of portals, clients, or team members on any plan. Your license covers your WordPress installation — what you build on it is up to you.

The plugin continues to work. Your portals, your clients, and your data are unaffected. You lose access to plugin updates and email support until you renew. We recommend staying current on updates for security and compatibility reasons.

Renewal pricing is the same as the listed purchase price at the time of renewal. We’ll notify you before your license expires so you’re never caught off guard. If our pricing changes, existing customers are always notified in advance. If you had a coupon code or had a discount applied to your first order of ClientPress, renewals are at full price.

Yes. If you start on Personal and need licenses for more sites, you can upgrade to Freelancer or Agency at any time. Contact us and we’ll apply a prorated credit for the remaining term on your current plan.

Yes, with a caveat. You can build and configure ClientPress on a client’s site using one of your licenses. We will provide support to the license owner (that’s your agency) as long as you’re on the project. However, once the site is handed off to the client and you are no longer providing them support — they’ll need their own ClientPress license to receive support from our team. Contact us if you have questions about a specific handoff situation.

Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases. If ClientPress isn’t the right fit, email us at support@clientpress.io within 14 days of purchase with your order number and we’ll issue a full refund. Renewals are not eligible for refunds.

We don’t offer discounted pricing for nonprofits or educational institutions. Every customer pays the same published price regardless of organization type.

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure checkout powered by Stripe. We do not currently accept PayPal, invoicing, or purchase orders.

Not currently. ClientPress is sold as an annual license. If a lifetime option becomes available in the future, existing customers will be the first to know.

Yes. If you need licenses for more than 20 WordPress installations — for a university system, a large franchise, a SaaS platform built on WordPress, or any other high-volume use case — contact us at support@clientpress.io to discuss enterprise licensing options. Enterprise licenses are evaluated, priced and structured on a case-by-case basis.

No. ClientPress is not compatible with WordPress Multisite installations and cannot be activated on them. Each site license covers a single standard WordPress installation. If you need to run ClientPress across multiple sites, purchase the number of licenses that matches your site count.
