ClientPress Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, or installing ClientPress, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ClientPress (“we,” “us,” “our”) regarding your use of the plugin.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use ClientPress on the number of WordPress sites specified by your plan:

PlanSites
Personal1
Freelancer5
Agency20

Each “site” means a single WordPress installation. Staging and development environments count toward your site limit. You may use ClientPress on sites you own or on sites belonging to your clients.

3. License Restrictions

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer ClientPress or your license key to any third party
  • Share your license key publicly or make it available to unauthorized users
  • Use ClientPress on more WordPress installations than your plan permits
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the plugin for the purpose of creating a competing product
  • Remove or obscure any copyright or proprietary notices in the software

4. License Term and Renewal

Licenses are sold on an annual basis. Your license includes plugin updates and access to support for one year from the date of purchase. After one year, the plugin will continue to function, but you will no longer receive updates or support until you renew.

We will send a renewal reminder before your license expires. Renewal pricing is subject to change, but existing customers will always be notified in advance.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases. If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your purchase date at support@clientpress.io with your order number and we will issue a full refund.

Refunds are not available on:

  • Renewal purchases
  • Purchases older than 14 days
  • Licenses suspended for violations of these Terms

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

6. Updates and Support

While your license is active, you are entitled to:

We aim to respond to support requests within 2 business days (Mon-Fri). We do not guarantee support response times, specific feature development, or compatibility with every third-party plugin or theme.

7. Intellectual Property

ClientPress and all associated code, design, documentation, and branding are the intellectual property of ClientPress. Purchase of a license does not transfer ownership of the software or any intellectual property rights. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

8. User Data and Privacy

ClientPress is a self-hosted WordPress plugin. All data generated by your use of the plugin — including portal content, client information, files, and activity logs — is stored on your own WordPress installation. We do not have access to your portal data, your clients’ data, or any content created within the plugin.

License validation may require your site to contact our licensing server to verify your license key. No personal or portal data is transmitted during this process.

For information about how we handle data collected through our website and licensing system, please see our Privacy Policy at clientpress.io/privacy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ClientPress is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every WordPress environment, hosting configuration, or third-party plugin. You assume full responsibility for your use of the software and for maintaining appropriate backups of your WordPress installation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClientPress shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the plugin, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClientPress and its owner, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of ClientPress, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use ClientPress ceases immediately and any license keys associated with your account will be revoked. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except where required by applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Riverside County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of ClientPress after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active license holders by email.

15. Contact

A note: these Terms were drafted to be clear and reasonable, not to obscure your rights as a customer. If something here doesn’t make sense or seems unfair, reach out — we’d rather clarify than litigate.
